So I have had my clowns for about a month now and they have what seems to be a bad ich or marine velvet problem.

My levels are all in good standing. 0.00 ppm
My SG is about 1.024

Here are some pictures.

I have a QT cycling but all the levels are very high still.. so i dont think i can get them in there just yet..

A FW dip does not cure the fish of this parasite, however these fish a heavily infected. A FW dip will remove some of the parasites. Follow this guide for the dip: http://www.reefsanctuary.com/forums/fish-diseases-treatments/31523-freshwater-dip-process.html

First perform a FW dip on their way to the QT. Put both into the one QT. If you have other fish, they need treatment too. Regardless of whether or not the QT is ready, get them there and start a Cupramine treatment, using either a Salifert or SeaChem copper test kit. Control ammonia and nitrite in the QT by large water changes: http://www.reefsanctuary.com/forums...7-how-make-safe-water-change-marine-fish.html Check for ammonia and nitrites 3+ times a day and do the water changes when necessary.

The links you were given by Dave are good ones, :read: but under these circumstances, the FW dip and using copper are about the only chance these fish have of surviving. Follow this link: http://www.reefsanctuary.com/forums/fish-diseases-treatments/52236-curing-fish-marine-ich.html

I would also not be surprised they are infected with Brook, too. The FW dip will help this, but not cure it with just one dip. Watch for brooklynellosis symptoms and if they appear, give the fish (both) a FW dip every other day until they have had 4 dips.

Thanks everyone.. The fish were supposed to get in the QT last week but the levels are still high.

I just did a large water change in my QT and the levels are still

Nirite 1.0
Ammonia 0.00 - 0.25
nitrate 5.0
SG - 1.015

I did lose my female last night, the one that was mostly infected. Sad :( I just cant seem to get my QT up and going..

I will add my other 2 in today if you think it will be time.

I need to pick up some meds so i have along drive i need to start.

Most hobbyists don't think of the QT until it's needed. But it still isn't too late. Huge water changes, chemical filtration and attention can make even the new QT work well.

In the case of diseases such as this, the hobbyist just can't wait for the QT to become good or perfect. . .the fish needs immediate help.
