serious question

Just walked in the door and noticed the whole back of my tank is covered in this brown fuzzy stuff on the sand bed and rock. I do have 3 clowns in there... Any idea what it could be and could it be harmful to my fish???

Its algae more than likely a dino algae. No problem to fish yet is tough to get rid of. Post pics for a proper id.

Sounds like a diatom bloom. A water change can alleviate this unsightly nuisance.

Diatom. Time is ur ally here. Ur going thru an algae cycle. One of the early ones. Standard rules apply. Wc and limit nourishment, ie food n lights. It'll b gone soon. Nows a good time to look at ur cuc. Matt

Clean up crew ie snails n crabs.
