seahorses and flame scallop?

Hi guys I have been in the process of converting one of my 55 gallon tanks into a seahorse tank. I have already moved out all the fish and critters to my 180 but I am having trouble getting the scallop out and I read ponies and scallops are not good together but I can't find anything that gives a reason why? I can't seem to get the scallop off the rock he is on and I don't have room to move the giant rock into the 180. any advise would be great!
Thanks:) p.s. the scallop has been on this rock for a year and a half and never moves.

Scallops, clams and any other bivalve are not advisable with seahorses. Bivalves react to movement and there have been cases of an unknowing seahorse trying to hitch onto them and getting their tails caught. The pressure is enough to break the skin causing an infection.

oh ok I see thank you. I have since been able to remove the scallop safely.
I am one step closer to my pony tank this weekend it will be complete and ready for the seahorse's. I plan to get them from seahorse source:)
