salt buildup

Is there any tricks to keep from getting salt buildup on the top edges of the tank.
The light is no big deal since I can take it off the tank to clean it, but I am afraid of letting the salt from the edges fall back into the tank.

Thanks in advanced :fishy:

Try to reduce the water spray/splash from pumps. I just knock the small pieces back in and dry the area with a towel to slow it down. The big chunks I put in the overflow to get broken up and mixed back in. Do not drop the chunks in near coral or inverts.

There is a spray?

I just clean with a damp papertowel and make all chunks fall outside the tank where I can then clean them up without risking corals or fish.

I do the same as lynn, just keep in mind that that salt was in your water, so be sure to check your salinity and make sure you stayin consistent :)

Great, thanks. I was afraid to let it fall in because of the SG. Glad my concerns were warrented.

Thanks so much
