My hydrometer gives me a reading of 1.025. My neighbor came over and helped my wife with a water change and add. I want the level to drop . By adding RO/DI water to it can I change the salinity down over a couple of days. All other tests read great. I have a 30 gallon cube. Thanks alot

Do you have any coral, fish or inverts in it? If you do I would not drop the salt level in a couple days may be a couple weeks but if nothing is in it you can drop it in one day and it will not hurt anything. But it depends on what you have. Also 1.25 is not bad you really do not want to go over 1.27. I have mine at 33 or 1.24.5.
