Is my ricordia okay on the sand bed. He has been here for 3 days now. Still has good color. This is my first ricordia so I'm not sure if this reaching effect is normal or if he wants more light. Not sure what my par is but other corals near him like my hammer have been there for years. I have radion gen 1 leds, set at 30%.

Ricordia will seem to change shape on you. This is normal. They can tolerate a wide range of lighting conditions. Generally your better off starting something in dimmer light, so it's ok to start it on the bottom. Long term though, you want the ricordia to spread, so place it on your live rock at some point. You can use superglue gel to mount the frag plug almost anyplace you like.
