I am setting up a reef tank, primarilly for sps and clams. I want to add some Ricordea Shrooms as well, but I am afriad that I may have too much light for them. Ineed a lil help. I have 10 watts per gallon. two 250 watt metal halides and 6 54 watt t-5s. Is this too much?

Just start them on the bottom to acclimate since most lfs do not have that much light. Then slowly move them up. They should be ok with that.

4-250 watt MH's with XM10K's and 2-54watt T5 suppliments over 240 gallons... ricordia going nuts, I would say they are light lovers.

Since moving my Rics directly under my MH, they have been doing great! Great extention and color. But do it gradually as Lynn said.

Ricordeas are one of the easiest corals to keep... you can't go wrong with them.
