I'm really not sure how close it comes pricewise to wit's link. I use color changing, because it reminds me when to change the media at the store where I don't feel like monitoring the TDS.

Supposedly the non color changing is supposed to be mildly better. But the dye hasn't seemed to affect anything from my point of view. and it's only like a dollar or two more. I think the dye is water soluable and comes out at a few parts per billion from what I understand. If you are paranoid about getting stuff in your reef tank use the non color changing.

I bought an add on DI unit from buckeye.com for under $40 including resin/refillable cartridge. That's also where I buy DI resin from. It's a great site, very good prices and service.

That will be the way I go for sure. My current di is a color changing resin but I don't think it's refillable... ummm... what color does it turn when exhausted?
