refugium lights

I have installed an under the tank 13 gal sump with a 3 gal refugium. How long should I leave my refugium light on? In it, I put grape culerpa with live sand and a few snails and a little live rock. Any suggestions out there? Thanks, Ron.

run it backwards of ure tank cycle!

ive heard good things from alternate cycle as well. helps control pH swings and helps with O2 saturation at night.

I agree with reefman. 24/7 is fine for chaeto but caulerpa needs a dark period. Reverse cycle it the best.

I run mine reverse (plus a few hours) schedule of the main display.

I have caulerpa and run mine reverse of the show..... I'm gonna have to get an under water weed eater it grows so fast....
