How do you maintain such a clean looking and vibrant tank without a skimmer. I am about to buy a used 130d, as an intro to reefing, and will need to buy a skimmer as sold without one?

I actually have no filtration at all aside from live rock and that one sponge under the overflow in the back. I am not sure if my water change method is helping, but I think it probably is. I was doing 5 gallon water changes once per month, but with the heavy bio-load I had (7fish), I changed to once a week, then, I started doing 1 gallon per day, as I find it much easier to do than 5 gallons at once, so I have been sticking with that

I assume this is back up to electricity cutting out? Was it easy to set up etc?

Yep, plug and play. I only have my heater, and main circ. pump plugged into it, its good for a few hours.
