In my opinion, while this product might be better that some other soaps, you just can never be sure if it's really "reef safe". To me, a red flag goes up when they call it "reef safe" but fail to disclose exactly what is in it.

There is no substitute for making sure your hands are clean, and you have properly rinsed them after washing, before you put them in the tank.
