I want to paint some of the sides of my sump to keep out light from the ATS, some portions will be in the saltwater. Is there a specific paint type that would be recommended as reef safe for acrylic/lexxan and wont chip or fade away?
Krylon Fusion is made for plastics. However submersion in saltwater is extreme. You would probably be better off painting the outside of the sump rather than the inside.
Did a quick search and it seems the best option on the net is Krylon Fusion. Though it should be noted that it can flake off it hit by rocks or scraped with tools.
