A little communication clarity will do us all good.

Good Color

Seller: All colors of the rainbow combined, as in Brown

Buyer: Lights up like a Vegas neon sign under two year old bulbs


Hardy

Seller: Will live long enough to make it into a bag and out the door

Buyer: Will be kicking it with the cockroaches after WWIII


Fast Growing

Seller 1: If you keep it long enough it will get bigger or 2)

Seller 2: the #*&% thing is taking over my tank and I am conning a piece of it off to you and you are actually paying for it. “Sucker.”

Buyer: I will be fragging the daylights out of it and making money within a week


Reef safe (livestock)

Seller: Morey Eels and anything else that can be dredged from the ocean.

Buyer: The most fascinating docile creature ever created


Reef safe (materials & equipment)

Seller: Normal stuff at 5 times the price to pay for the lawyer to defend against frivolous claims by incompetent reefers who will blame seller for their tank crashing

Buyer: Will not react with anything, as in helium or platinum


Quiet Return Pump

Seller: Cannot be heard over 50 motorcycles racing through the living room

Buyer: Paint drying will be louder


Pump Rating (GPH)

Seller: Flow tested overdriving the pump with 500 volts and pumping down hill through 3 inch drain pipe siphoning through the impeller

Buyer: I will get this flow on a 30 foot run through airline tube from my basement sump to the second floor display tank.

Seller: Can be placed on the opposite ends of an eight foot tank

Buyer: Symbiotic


Tank Size Required for Fish X

Seller: Powder Blue Tangs do great in a 55 gallon

Buyer: That Powder Blue will do great in my 55 gallon

Note: Both buyer and seller are messed up here. Poor fish.


Live Rock

Seller 1: Once had living matter on it and will generate ammonia and phosphate once submerged in a salt water and therefore generate life

Seller 2: Basalt lava rock (extremely dense, inert, and non porous) submerged in a holding tank with other “live rock” thereby making live rock.

Buyer: Porous, lighter than air, 110% coralline algae coverage, only beneficial hitchhikers, and not less than 1 bonus coral frag per pound


FTD Free (Frag Transmitted Disease)

Seller: No monkey see, no monkey hear, no monkey do

Buyer: Sterile yet living


Frag

Seller: Miniscule piece of dying coral duct taped to a phosphate laden rock

Buyer: 10 inch tall flourishing colony
