RBTA split question

My RBTA split last year and both are on the same small rock. I would like to know how to get one to move off onto another rock so that I can either sell one or transfer to another tank. I have tried putting a powerhead very close and directing the flow directly towards one for a few weeks at a time to no avail. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Some people have had luck using ice to persuade the foot of one to move.
I have accidentally had luck by moving the rock they are on and both move. This is a bit risky since you don't know where either will decide to go.

Ice cube ! Just take the rock out of the tank.Rub the ice around the base of the nem as close to the rock where the base is connected at and it should let go. Good Luck.

I find my nems move whenever the conditions change. If changing the flow doesn't work, perhaps relocate the rock to somewhere that doesn't get very much light, ie in a little cave or under an 'overhang'. Hopefully your 'nems will decide they need a 'sunnier' location and will move out.
