r/o unit....is this a good one?

This is part of something I sent to another member. Also I understand that most do not like EBay units but I think they make a great starter unit and can be updated over time.

Do not use the two top units. One is carbon filter and the other supposed to be a DI canister. They do not do any good, but the unit is pretty reasonable still at $97.99 shipped.
You will also need one or two of the units on the bottom of the page.

These are industry standard DI canisters and are refillable.
You will be finished with a turnkey 6 stage system at $160.00.
In about 3 years I would recommend you replace the membrane with a Filmtech 75 gpd and a variable restrictor.

Yes you could but do not expect it to remove tds completely. You could use it for a short time but, I would advise to get at least a single 10 inch DI canister.

but no matter what it would be better the using a water conditioner correct? and using a unit like that might be ok for say one to two months before removing its di portion and replacing it?
