Question about pairing Clowns

My wife caught the bug and now I set up a 20 high for her and now she wants clown babies. Do I need to buy a pair that is already paired or can I buy two clowns and they will pair up?

Which sp. do you plan to get ? you don't have to buy a mated pair unless you plan to get a maroon clown s. The female is very aggressive and can be very difficult to pair.

I have had clowns in my tank going on 10 months, got them a juvies and they still have not spawned...good luck. If you want them fast, I would try and get a pair all ready mated...but this still does not garentee that they will spawn. good luck.

The female is considerably larger than the male. I would buy one bigger than the other so that you don't get two females which will be a problem and could lead to death for one of them.
