Power Out!!!

My power went out about 3.5 hours ago, according to the power company it is going to be another 2 hours until it is restored. At what point should I get concerned?? I have a 55 gal. DT with 5 fish, mixed reef. Temp shouldn't be a problem given the climate, just flow and oxygen exchange. Thanks.

Up here in the North Country we deal with power a lot.

One trick is to take a pot, fill it with aquarium water, hold it up about 6" and pour it back in. Do this a few times, a few times an hour, and it should help keep the water oxygenated

I have battery operated air pumps, which is your best bet but little late now

get a straw stick it a few inches below the surface and blow..... j/k I hope I never have to deal with that problem.....

I have read of people using back up battery packs to run air pumps. I think you'll be ok if its only for a few hours.
