Possible Montipora?

Hey guys, I just found an interesting growth on one of my rocks.

It came from an LFS a long time ago, more than 6 months.

Today, with the LEDs on, I noticed this growing.

It looks like a shelving coral, and has that distinctive red color.

It doesn't flop in the current either.

Could it be a montipora? Here's a picture:

Yes it does look like a monti. I've been looking for a nice one locally in that color. Tank care of it and it will grow nice and big. It appears to be very happy where it is.

Agree with above posts. Based on the picture, it does look like a monti. Congrats!

Thanks! I have no clue where it came from. Most recent coral addition was from an LFS, and that was a rock of GSP...strange, strange, strange!

I'll keep him where he is and keep you guys posted.
