Here are some pics of my tank, if I had more cash to spend it would be better but I'm happy with what I have so far!

That's a beautiful tank! congrats!
Love the driftwood and plants decoration, looks like a portion of a lake.

What would be the equipment requirements for a tanks like yours?

I like it! Someday, maybe, I'd like to have a tank laid out like that - lots of plants and wood and such. Your discus are beautiful fish!

Thanks Quentin! They are my favorite freshwater fish of all time I'm glad you like them!
as for you Juan...... The tank is actually pretty simple....
its a 110 semi-cube tank. with the 48'' stock light that came with the setup and a 36'' 2 bulb t-5 fixture.
I will admit I do not have enough light over the tank (LOW FUNDS) and have had to resort to only very easy to keep plants, something I would like to change in the future, I only have a little more than a watt per gallon, would like to get more then 2 eventually....which reminds me... anyone got some T-5 fixtures for sale? LOL
I have a little over 130 lbs of gravel in the tank, some pea gravel (ugh) and some eco plant gravel along with random low light plants and several pieces mopani wood.
I had a cO2 system on it but my lights weren't good enough to sustain the accelerated growth so I took it off to use later.
I just have 1 normal cascade canister filter full of ceramic media as my filtration, the plants to most of the work though and I really only clean the filter once or twice every 6 months.
and finally a couple heaters keeping the tank 84 degrees.

any other questions? shoot away!

Thanks! I would love to add much better lighting and take all the pea gravel out to replace with the eco complete gravel but its not in the cards right now with my slat tank taking all my money! lol
