overflow rating

how does one find out what their overflow is rated at. I have a 75G with corner overflow with MAG 7 used as return pump. seems water level in tank is a little too high so i'm wondering if i'm pushing to much water for my overflow can handle. any advise on how to fix this problem.

What type of over flow do you have? If you are out of balance you will over flow the tank.

I seriously doubt a mag 7 is pumping more than then the overflow can handle, if you are worried about it you can put a ball valve between the pump outlet and the tank inlet. This will allow you to control the flow without damaging the pump.

go to reef central and look at the head loss chart i have a mag 7 with 4 nintys, union check valve , 4 feet high 2 feet across reduces my pump to 360gph. , so no your tank should be fine
