Outdoor Pond

Crappy diagram, but you get the idea. I'll throw the water fall and filter into sketch up later so you can get a better idea of it. This pond was an extremely simple setup.

Great diagram but i sugest a T with a tap on it somewhere in between the filter and waterfall. Most people make the mistake of turning filters of in winter so all the healthy bacteria that's taken a year to get params good then dies and when you turn filter back on you have to start all over again. It's easier to bypass water from waterfall to the pond

Its my understating that you want to turn off all filtration and flow for the winter as the water stays warmer on the bottom of the pond than the top and mixing it all up will drop the temp to low for the fish to survive.
