Oolite, sugar/dust sized sand - Ugh

Goodness, I hate this sand. At first, when setting up my tank, I thought.."Hell yeah.. this looks great"..

Now.. I can't stand it. Damsels and lawnmower blenny have it scattered all over the tank.. rocks.. everywhere..

When I move next month, I'm thinking about changing substrate types.

Whats a good recommendation on a substrate that will hold itself down?
And what size is recommended?

I don't know if someone is going to yell at me, but I added some crushed coral to my sand for that very reason.
My only suggestion would be to go very light on the crushed coral.
It helps bind the substrate together a little bit.

Don't take just my advice. Wait for more to chime in on this subject.
Also do a search on here for sand because there are some great threads on this subject.

If you are a neat freak, it's a great way to go :) It also makes increasing circulation easier since you don't have to worry about sand getting piled up by the current in your tank.
Otherwise I've had good luck building systems with Caribsea Fiji Pink (.5-1.5mm grain size), and Seafloor Special Grade Reef Sand (1-2.0 mm grain size).
But for personal tanks, I'm a BB proponent.
