ocean caught fish?

i was wondering where i live in japan theres a couple spots where there should be some tide pools and i was wondering if when it unfreezes if it would be an alright idea to grad some rock or some small fish out of the pools im pretty sure thats where some lfs get there rock and snails from but i was wanting some input from everyone else :swmfish:

I'd ask about collection laws in-country both onbase & local. It may be no big deal at all but better safe than sorry! Have fun!

Was briefed that there's no limit unless you're on private property or making money off of it but thanks for that input alot of people wouldn't have mentioned that one

The other thing I'd watch for is that fish and other livestock taken locally, in this case ones that survive cold winters, may not be compatable with tropical speicies you'd get at a LST. You may need to set up a cold water tank for what you collect.
