HELP! New to the fish scene!! :)

Hi everyone just so you know I’m very new to the fish keeping scene and wanting to do the right thing here, First of many questions I have a interpet pf1 powerfilter that I’m running at the moment in a 65 litre tank, and was wondering if I could take out the cartridges and replace with bio media carbon sponge and filter floss? Any help and advice would be very much appreciated.

To answer your specific question, you could replace the media in just about any filter. However, the more important consideration is that filter your looking at is far too small for the size tank you want to run it on. Keep in mind that manufacturers tend to be "very optimistic" when it comes to rating their products.

More to the point, what are you going to keep in the tank?
