My Second Quarantine Tank

Aurum is doing better.
This morning he was up this morning before the lights came on. I offered him food but since the lights were not on I couldnt tell if he ate anything or no.

We went out for the day. We went to Navy Pier and saw The Dark Night on the IMAX screen. It was sooo good. Mark They played that trailer for the Watchmen too. I cant wait for next March.

So we got home and walked up the stairs which opens into the dining (reef) room. Aurum came swimming up to the feeding spot demanding food.
He doesnt go for the live Brine.
He did eat quite a few mysis although he seemed picky about which ones he ate. Some he took into his mouth then spit them out. Others he gobbled right up.

Now to get him to eat something besides mysis.
Doni I see you have stickified a couple of Leebca's post (including the one see linked to above) on the subject.

Aurum was obviously feeling great today.
He was out and swimming a lot. :swmfish:
Every time I entered the room he came to the feeding place.
I kept him on the Prime Reef flakes today and he ate a lot even some of the bigger flakes.

The Midas is doing great now.
He eats prime reef flakes, Rod's food, and tonight he even ate Omega One Pellets after I had soaked them and made them soft.
He does not even try to eat the live brine but thats just fine!

He greats me in the morning before lights on for some breakfast.
Then anytime anyone walks into the room he is at the feeding spot.
I have been feeding him a few times in the evening so he can build up his strength.

Im still planning on keeping him in QT for 6 weeks.
My 55g tank turns 1 year old this weekend and I dont want to give it the B`day present of Ich with its first fish.

This Saturday will be 6 weeks that the Midas has been in QT.
I just read Lee's suggested procedure for acclimating the fish from the QT to the DT. Temperature and Sg are identical in both tanks.
PH probe is in QT and I dont have one in the DT. I will be checking the PH of the DT and adjusting the PH of the QT as necessary over the next couple of days.
Whooo Hoooooo!
