my heater exploded !!!! is it life threatning

last night i was examining the output of the jets to see if i could find my bubble problem and i must have hit my heater and it poped out of the plastic holder and came out of the water...well to say the least it popped anf the glass broke. i took it out and cleaned all the pieces out asap ( i had it in the main tank but inside of the black plastic area that hides the piping)but i do not know if i need to do anything else. was there anything toxic in it to kill the fish ect.....

i took it out as quick as i could but dont know if i need to do anything else

you are fine, heaters are just an element and glass. so toxic coatings or gases,,if i had a dollar for every heater i cracked,,,,i could buy new heaters,,,LOL

ok, :whstlr: thanks, i did not think that there was anything but would hate to mysteriously start finding dead critters......

thanks for the response. everyone on this site is awsome !

hopefully one day i will have some knowledge to help someone else ...lol
