HELP! My coral has something on itself that I cannot identify

So, in the Marinetank, there's something around one of the coral.
I don't know what it is, I'm scared that it could harm any of my sea creatures. Can you identify it? I can't find anything that can help me by researching either.

If your referring to that white stuff then it just looks like a sponge of some sort. While most of these are generally harmless, there are a few varieties out there that have been known to smother corals though. Definitely keep your eye on it. GL.

Smother? I don't want that at all.
How do you get rid of it - if you don't mind me asking and how does it form; I want to acknowledge how so it doesn't happen next time.

+1 sponge most are filter feeders and pretty harmless
