MH Bulb ?

I have a question about bulb selection. On my 65 gallon that I am setting up I have a dual 250 watt pfo ballast. The current bulbs are old so I have to get new ones. I am also supplementing with 2 VHO bulbs. I think I should go old school with Iwasakis to maximize sps growth. With 2 vho actinics I think the color SHOULD be appealing. Does anyone think otherwise or have suggestions. In the past I have always used 10k or higher bulbs so I am unexperienced with these. Thanks for any help

I think you'll find the iwaski bulbs yellowish. You might want to borrow a bulb first to see if you like it. That is a LOT of light for a 65 gallon! :eek:

Yea I've seen there yellowish tint in person on other tanks but they didnt have as much actinic supplementation. I am hoping 2 VHO's will balance it out. If all else this will be a trial and I should get excellent growth with them. It is a lot of light for a 65 but I always back in as much as I can on my sps tanks. I used to have dual 400's on a 75 lol.
