Long, thin & white hairlike thingies!

So i noticed short white hairs on the rock a while back, didnt think much of it then, but i do see now that they grow longer and even create a spiderweb like thing on some smaller spots. They have tiny "satellites" in the end that look like barnacles do, just alot smaller. If i poke the hairs they dont retract. While googling i keep coming back to spaghetti/hairworms. Im curious of what it could be! Photo isnt the best tho..

It looks like you might have some Digitate Hydroids up top there. As far as those "spider webs" your seeing goes, these are usually caused by Vermetid snails.

Not sure about the Digitate Hydroids, they seem "furry" all the way. The ones i have are long and smooth and only have a tiny satellite in the tip, that looks & works exactly as a barnacle.

About the webs, sure looks alot like what those Vermetids make.

Do any of the Hydroids in this link look similar? At the top of the page it will give you other options as well. Just as an example, Hydrozoan 2, Hydrozoan Identification, Hydrozoan ID 2, Hydrozoan ID 3 etc.
