little critters on sandbed

I just got back from vegas tonight and looked in the tank and there are small ant size critters on the sand. Could they be baby snails? Ill post a pic soon.

i would say more than likely pods.. do they scurry from a flashlight?

I looked this morning and they are no where to be seen..when i did turn on the room light, thet were scurrying around and seemed to be everywhere. If they are pods are they beneficial? My tank is becoming very alive with different life almost weekely and i am very eager to learn about and see all this happening. ill attempt somepics tonight after lights out. Thanks again.

Yep, pods are good - a sign of a healthy, maturing tank.
