While a condie is a common, inexpensive and somewhat undemanding anemone it will need better lighting for the long haul. So will your yellow polyp. You can get a 24 inch 96 watt T5HO fixture for around 225 bucks. This is what you need. The bulbs you are using are excellent for growing algae. It is not likely your clown will host in a condie or the hair algae you will probably start to see in less than a month.
When it comes to LFS they are likely to tell you just about any thing will do well in your tank in order to sell the item. Many of them have less knowledge about what they are selling than someone who has spent a few hours researching a particular species on the internet. I other words don't trust them.
