Latex Gloves- Are they safe?

instead i would use those yellow scrubbing gloves.. im sure latex is fine, but i personally have never used gloves.. is it necc?? ive heard people say that it is necc. because some people are allergic to the corals.. i sometimes just get a rash from the sw..

My torch coral stung me lol. I think I am going to start using gloves! Not only that but less chance of contaminating it if anything is on my hands. Zoanthids also secrete a poisonous toxin so just to play it safe gloves are the way to go! I just dont know if latex is bad for the tank or not ya know.

I use latex gloves, they are the blue unpowdered ones from Lowes. Not always neccessary but with zoas and palys it is a real good idea. They can secrete palytoxin and if you have an open wound of any size it can get in and cause anything from irritation to death.
