Sounds like the 20k light his brother was using would be great for deep water habitat tank. I am thinking about doing a tank like that for some deep water specimens like a purple fire fish and others...

I got the light today and threw it up on my 20 gal. long Breeder and snapped a few pics. My first LED light, and I dig it. It does make a nice shimmer and the 10,000k is pretty blue. Looks closer to a 12,000k to my eyes.

This is with just the 2 24 watt 6500k CFL bulbs I had on it already.

This is with the 6500k bulbs along with the Kessil 10,000k mounted in the middle using the gooseneck that came with it between the 6500k lights.

Yeah, I really like the look of the 10,000k over the 15,000k that my LFS uses. It's not too white at all for my tastes. The shimmer effect is AWESOME! I love the way it reflects the shimmer onto my ceiling in my living room now. It creates such a relaxing atmosphere. I would say that the only thing I would like to have would be the ability to dim the fixture, but aside from that it's a superb product as far as I can tell. I'm sure it will be enough light to keep pretty much any coral I want in this shallow tank and I have the light about as high as I can get it using the gooseneck mount;About 10" from the surface of the water. The light seems to have a pretty good spread with the included optics.
