Kent Marine Maxxima Deluxe Question

I posted this on my Chronicle, but I figured this forum would be more appropriate for this question...


RO/DI unit is here, woot.

I have questions about it though... First... The unit, with amazing red markings, for reference...

1) What is this hose to/from? (waste water?)
2) I'm assuming this is the tap water "in"
3) Does this "T" serve a purpose?
4) I'm assuming this is the good "out"

#2 is your waste water
#3 I have no idea (mine doesnt have one)
#4 is your good water out

Also, one more question, I have all three filters still sealed and brand new... which order do I put them in from left to right?

If your looking at it like it is in your pictures from left to right it goes Sediment filter, then Carbon, then DI

my father in law had this unit and had lots of trouble with the membranes from Kent. he ended up going with a filmtec and has had no trouble after

also your TDS meter in should be down on #1 not at #2 not sure why it is there.

It was shipped to me with the Kent membranes, so I'll ride them out and if I have problems I will switch to a different brand. The TDS "in" meter has been moved since I am now aware of what is "in" and what is "waste"

You can use other filters then Kent Marine, and they are cheaper too.
