Just got Photoshop 7.0....

But don't no how to use it. For starters I would like to figure out how to place a border around the picture and to place a water mark on the pic with my name on it. Can someone please help me?

Ok so I figured it out. Here's a pic.

I cropped this photo down, there was other corals in the back ground. Does anyone no how to make everything else blurry?

Adam,
What kind of camera are you using? If you have control on your camera over depth of field it would be soooooooooo much easier to control background blur there rather than in photoshop. Try a lower aperature # on your next picture.

If you want to watermark ON a photo, you can just create the text on a separate layer and then mess with the layer transparency/fill bar on the top of the layer pane.
