Hey GUYs!
Just got back from the Bahamas, and I left my tank all alone for 5 days! I know, sounds pretty brave, even stupid, but i have all the gear, Auto top off, Auto feeder, and Auto doser... What else do you need?? Well, Everything turned out GREAT! except I lost my Crocea Clam because he was pushed off the rock (i think) by my coral banded shrimp and died from no light or food for 5 days.. But now i have a cool shell
(if you have a clam fs PM me) Otherwise everything went great.. Although my one clownfish has turned half black, no clue why.. trying to diagnose him right now.. i dont think its anything tho!
I will post some pics of the Bahamas later, it was a fun trip! Although Atlantis was CRAZY expensive, almost to the post of it not being worth it.. EXAMPLE: A big bag of chips ( you know like the 1 1/2 lbs bags i think, or the biggest size of lays) was $10 DOLLARS!! WOW and What makes no sense what so ever is that the Bahamas (a 3rd world country) has the same exchange rate as America (a 1st world country) their money is 1:1 HOW??!!? Looks like Sol Kirzner did his job there, owning 2/3 of the island and corrupting the gov't- All of the places that he owns automatically charges you 15% gratituity on EVERYTHING...
If yall dont know the story about him, he opened up a golf course and hotel, casino... in South Africa called Sun City and was later in dieted for bribery and some fraud and had to sell the hotel... Its amazing how people go to Atlantis and get overcharged on EVERYTHING ($55 for 1 day at the gym, $2.50 for a bagel and cream cheese, $6.50 for 2 eggs by them selves) and SMILE and walk away only to return thinking they got a great deal. If someone took the same money i spent at Atlantis (A LOT DONT ASK) and went to a Ritz or 4 Seasons (upper market Hotel) in, lets say Atlanta, you would be treated like a KING, get your bed turned down every night (not at atlantis), get the Pent house too.. But Anyways im done ranting about that.. by i have to say, I wont be going back to the Bahamas.. and i DID have FUN.. i just didnt look at the price of anything. if you havent been id go ONCE, but only ONCE.. you have to do something once in live.. (thats the ONCE places)
