The lens that came with my Nikon D700 is not up to what you'd expect from Nikon. In fact, the 24-120 is on the list of the 10 worse lenses made by Nikon.
I'm looking at the Nikon 20-70 F-2.8 and also the Sigma which is also a 24-70 with a max aperture of 2.8.
From what I have read the Sigma is very close to the quality of the Nikon and is about 800 dollars less.
I was wondering if anyone here has had experience with the Sigma and if so, how do you like it?
I have used the Nikon and it's an awesome piece of glass; it's quality rivals a good prime lens.
This is a difficult decision especially because I have to get the Sigma online and so returns will be somewhat of a hassle.
