ok, well maybe i have spent way too much time staring at my fuge today, i noticed a proliferation of isopods on the glass. my question is, how do iknow if the isopods i have are good and not the parasitic kind?

Josh, are you sure they're isopods, or could they be copepods?

100% isopod. they look just like the mixed pic in the first link. according to the pic they are munnid isopods. and apparently harmless. thanks boomer!
