Is this brown Jelly Disease?

Could anyone tell me if this is Brown Jelly disease on my Elegance? I have had for about 3 weeks. It is supposedly a Blue Tip Elegance from Australia. The first week it was doing great. Then it has begun to slowly stop expanding with the goopy stuff in the picture I have been suctioning off it daily, not a huge amount, but it does return daily. If it is, brown jelly, what is the best remedy of all I have read about.

Thanks

Unfortunately it appears that your elegance is on its way out :( I don't believe that they get the traditional brown jelly disease that we see in torches and frogspawn, but they do begin to secret a mucus. I recently lost my elegance as well, as did my lfs that is very reputable and experienced. Unfortunately, it appears that even the so called, Aussy Elegances are not doing well in captivity. I have heard of some dips some people have had success with, but I was not able to find any in my area that they referenced. There is a user on some of the other forums named "elegan coral" that has done many experiments and had great success with these. He may be able to make some suggestions, but my guess is you may lose this one. If so, I'm sorry for your loss in advance. :( They are great corals.

Thanks knapp870. would you or anyone happen to know if this is something that could spread through the tank to other corals?

It's important that when the Elegance begins to secret this, that you blow/wave these off of it to try to get it to heal. However, if it is simply the elegance secreting then i would not be too worried about it spreading to other corals unless it does die, then you need to remove it asap. If it is brown jelly, then it can spread as it is an infection, but I would only be concerned for other softies like frogspawn, torches, etc.

If you see any brown jelly ie. necrotic tissue, you can use airline tubing to siphon off the dead/necrotic tissue and give the coral a bath with an Iodine solution like TM Pro Coral Cure or similar product. The iodine will act as an antiseptic and hopefully kill prevent the spread of the tissue necrosis.

I have been trying to be vigilant with the siphoning and did an iodine bath. It still in rough shape but am hoping for the best.
