Info on Skimmers

Hello everyone

Can anyone give me any information (good or bad) on the ASM skimmers?
I'm currently looking into the Aqua C 240 (for a 180) but i want to check all my options.

Your help will be appreciated

ASM,,,,big! any skimmer i cut the rated tank size in half to get a more realistic handling capacity.

I would highly suggest the ASM as well. They are pretty much plug and play.
I am a big fan of needlewheel skimmers.

I recently purchased an ASM G3 to replace a Red Sea skimmer and am very happy with its performance. It was a bit slow to break in but once it did lots of gunk!
They come with no directions or suggestions of any kind but I found running it with stand pipe all the way down for a day to build up some skim mate and then adjusting it got it going well.
Also Witty suggested rinsing it in warm RO water with some vinegar prior to setup which also helps cut down on break in time.

Thanks Witty

I also would recommend a needle wheel skimmer, they are very efficient, and provide the biggest bang for the buck....

HI,:)
I would like to know if anyone has an opinion on
Coralife Super Skimmer with Needle Wheel Protein Skimmer.
My friend is planning on getting a 75 gal bow front tank and i was able to talk her into a skimmer. She has chosen to get the above skimmer..

So what do you all think
