ID on this purplish macro algae (?)

I've looked everywhere that I can think of and I can't seem to find anything quite like this... I'm not even positive that it's an algae. It's thick, not leafy, and the entire body is one big bulbous piece. It's not a bubble algae. Any ideas? Thanks for the help!

maybe a type of scinaia algae? Tektite is better at this than me, maybe they will see your post and contribute.

I don't think that's it, but searching for it led me to what I think is the correct answer, Nemastoma sp. It looks like this in a slightly different color (2nd pic down).

Thanks! :)

Looks similar to Nemastoma, but I don't think that's quite it. My guess is a Predaea sp. When it gets larger it will be easier to ID for sure.

Yeah, definitely. It does look a bit like predaea, but (you can't really see in the picture) the ends come to bright orange points. Maybe it's neither one! I'll post again when it gets bigger.
