How long for algae to clear???

Hi, I have a 55 gallon reef with some corals and a couple of fish. I have a small algae problem, but not overwhelming. My tank is a year and a few months old. I have started to use RO water a month back. How long will it take for the visible algae on the glass take to clear, because my sand is clear and my rocks are pretty clean?

As long as it takes you to wipe/scrape it off?

So just remove it by hand, because it grows back in a few days?

TEST YOUR NITRATES & PHOSPHATES ....then do your water changes on a strict weekly schedule. If you have long hair algae, you could buy a Mexican Turbo Snail, add to your CUC. You won't need more than 2 for your tank because They are BIG & eat a lot.
Other things to consider is How many HOURS per day you run your lights? How old are your bulbs? Do you over feed your tank? Make sure no direct sunlight is coming though windows or patio doors hitting your tank. You may need some slight corrections besides just using RO water. But RO-Di water is a great start
