Hi folks - just joined & a question for you..

I've had this fish (see pic in gallery) for a couple years now and thought it to be a hawkfish, but have never been able to confirm, that said it looks more like a wrassse! Any one know for sure?

He's very shy and desperately hard to photograph

Welcome! That doesn't look like any Hawkfish I've ever seen and indeed it does look like a species of wrasse. A better picture would make for a correct ID.

I agree, not a hawkfish......possibly a wrasse or psuedochromis

Thanks for the replies, and for putting the pic in the thread... I'll get it right next time!
I agree it's similar in shape to a PJ-wrasse, just the wrong colours!
As for a better pic... that one took me a couple hours to get... I'll se what I can do, thx
