And i am from Norway, the land of ice, snow and a tiny gang of saltwater enthusiasts (pardon my spelling..) I have 2 tanks, one 540 litres fowlr and a 300 litres reeftank. (have no idea what that is in us gallon.)
My reeftank is now 4 years old and working wery well. The other tank is new, only one fish (lyretail dottyback) and crabs, but it is getting there!
