Help please! Problem with Tunze 9002

Hi people, I really need your help.

I was out for 1 week and when I returned I noticed that the skimmer was not working.
( I have a rsm130d with tunze 9002)

I took the skimmer out and cleaned the pump. It is working again since yesterday, I can see bubles in the skimer, but the cup is empty (since yesterday nothing was skimmed)

Some questions that I need your help;

1. Agter cleaning the pump is it normal to wait for a few days to start skimming? Is it the same situation when we install a new skimmer? Or probably it is not working well yet?
2. Nitrate is 4 ppm, what should I do in this emergency situation to reduce it. yesterday I changed the water, not sure If I need to do it again today....

Just make sure the hose is still connected at both ends. Mine has come off a couple of times after cleaning, showing the same results u are getting.

Attach again and you should be all set.
