Halloween Hermit Crab attacking Crocea Clam :(

ARGH! I am quite annoyed! I go down to check on tank before bed time and see my hermit with a death grip on what seems to be the foot of my clam... WTF!! I've had it for over a month without a problem, and have had the hermit for 2+ years. I have a feeling I may be having crab for dinner tomorrow! :(

I had that issue with some emerald grabs on some candy cane. May want to strategically feed the crab by removing it for the tank to gorge in a cup on an all you can eat diet? Good luck, I removed the crabs! I had a halloween hermit, and they seem so docile? Must be a very healthy calm:)
