Just a gentle smile on my face watching the TV today when we beat off the Olympic favourites "Paris" to host the Olympics in 2012. I think I noticed good ol NY in there somewhere but they dropped out of the running pretty early.

As much as I love watching the olympics, I hate the bidding process and the inevitable politics that surround the entire event.

speaking as a New Yorker, I am so glad we will not be hosting them in 2012.The city is over full as it is, I don't even want to think of what kind of grid lock problems there would have been.
