I thought I'd close out this old thread in case any new person searches and finds it looking for a green bubble algae solution. I do have hope to anyone plagued with green bubble algae. Mine really was gone. I haven't had any in my tank since the post further up said it was gone...so like a year and a half.
The funny part is I have no idea what, if anything, I did to get rid of it.
I did regular water changes once every week or two, I did manual extraction, I used chemical filtration, I changed my lights, I added green emerald crabs. I'm not sure which of those, if any, really mattered though. It just disappeared one day.
Go figure.
