Fuge lighting

Currently i am running t5's on my fuge but i want to cut down on my electricitty bill. can i run leds? or are they not strong enough? any other suggestions?

You can run a clamp light with Cfl bulbs that would be cheaper than leds to purchase and probablly around the same cost to run them.

What are Cfl bulbs?

Those spiral fluorescent energy saving bulbs you use around your house.

ok so that will work? will my macro still grow like crazy? i heard floodlights are decent aswelll

I am currently running the bulbs from the algae scrubber thread here on RS on my fuge' along with some T5s

You put them in the same little clamp hoods but you remove the metal reflector becoause the bulb has its own.... I was using just this bulb, but had an extra T5 fixture that fit my fuge' so I added that also.
