I'm no expert but isn't there in tank treatments for FW ick? I think raising the tank temp works as well.

I've dealt with freshwater ich many times and there are a few dependable ways to get rid of it. What are your tank specs and I'll tell you what I would do. Size, fish, plants, inverts

For FW ich, the best cure to start with is heat. Slowly increase the tank temp to 90 and wait out the disease. You may need to increase circulation, because warm water holds less oxygen. The cure time is usually about a week after you no longer see spots.

There are a few exceptions to this. Some fish species and plants will not tolerate this high temp. For those you'll need to treat with one of the medications available.
